I have your address labels OL875. I'm using ms publisher 2013. There is a template in ms publisher for this exact label. This is the problem I'm having.

I want to add a background pattern that will fill the whole label. I'm able to do this on the screen but when I print it the background is way off.
It doesn't go the the edge on the right side.
And it prints outside of the margins on the other 3 sides and even prints on the labels next to it.

How can this be corrected?

I'm sorry to hear about the issue that you've experienced, and I'll be happy to offer any assistance that I can.

Our product OL875 has very narrow left and right margins. This means that certain printer models may not be capable of printing all the way to the right or left edge of the labels on the outside columns of the sheet. Every printer on the market today has a "Non-Printable Margin" - basically a point on the sheet that the printer will not physically print beyond to ensure that ink or toner doesn't damage the inside of the printer.

For more information on non-printable margins and to test your printer model's non-printable margins, please visit the link below:

If you've used the tool at the link above and determined that non-printable margins are not causing the problem, then you're likely dealing with a misalignment issue. The best way to resolve most misalignment issues is by adjusting the page margins. I don't have access to Microsoft Publisher 2013, but I was able to track down a copy of Microsoft Publisher 2010. To access the margin settings, I clicked on the tab titled "Page Design" and then on the button directly below titled "Size". Clicking on "Size" will bring up a list of different template sizes, but if you look towards the bottom of the pop-up menu, you should see a link titled "Page Setup". Clicking on this should bring up a new screen with editable margin settings.

To adjust the alignment in your specific scenario, you will want to make an adjustment to the Side Margin setting. Reducing the side margin will shift the entire printed area to the left, while increasing the side margin will shift the entire printed area to the right. When making these adjustments, you should see the small thumbnail preview of the template shifting either right or left depending on the value that you enter for the side margin. It may require some trial and error, but this is the only reliable way to adjust for misalignment within Microsoft's programs.

I hope these suggestions help you resolve the problem that you've experienced. If you wind up deciding to try a different template or software, you may want to give our Maestro Label Designer a shot. We provide access to the software for free with any order, and our customer service department would be very happy to assist you with any questions you may have about using it. Thank you that worked. Just a tad bit off but I'll play with it some more.

I'm going to try maestro now.
