I have over 250 labels designed so they print on sheets...most of them 8-10 to a sheet. I just bought a Primera LX2000 label maker, and I will now be using it for customers who expose our products to tougher conditions (heat, humidity, sunlight). However, the LX2000 uses roles. Is there any way to convert the sheet designs to roll designs?
Thanks. Jim

Thank you for your inquiry. While there isn't a way to automatically transfer a design from a sheet template to a roll template within Maestro Label Designer, you can easily copy and paste from template to template manually.
To accomplish this, you would first open the design that you want to copy within Maestro Label Designer. Once opened, you would then click on the "Select" icon above the design area. With the "Select" icon active, you would then click and drag a rectangle around your entire design. This should select all elements of your completed design together. At this point, you would click on "Copy" in the upper menu bar.
Now that the design has been copied, you can click on the "New" icon in the menu bar. This will prompt you to choose a new blank template - select the item number for the roll product you are looking to print on and then click the "Start New Design" button. With the new, blank template open you will simply click on "Paste" in the menu bar now, and your entire design will be dropped on to the template.
You may have to do some slight re-positioning to line the artwork up properly, but it certainly beats creating the design all over again from scratch.
I hope you find this information useful. If you should require any additional assistance please just let me know.

Hi Josh,
Thank you for this advice. Sorry I did not get back earlier, but my new LX2000 has been sitting in the carton for 2 weeks! Today, was the first day I had a chance to set it up.
I did copy and paste one of my labels from a OL600 (sheet of 8 - 4 x 2.5) to a RL2992 (roll - 4 x 2.5) and just had to drag it to center. Easy! However, when I tried to print it the label did not align properly. About 1/4 inch of the left side did not print because the label aligned to the left.
I tried changing the page setup in the Maestro program (adjusting the left hand margin). When I printed it again. the left side was printed properly, but the right side was missing 3 lines of print.
So, I tried again, changing the Online Label Page Setup back to default, and changing the Primera LX2000 alignment. That had no effect.
Is this problem an online labels problem or a Primera problem?

It seems the first time I adjusted the LX2000 alignment, I forgot to click "Set". I tried it again and got the label centered on the stock. Looks like I am good to go.

Sure will, Josh. And, I was delighted when I requested 4 x 2.5 roll labels, and Online Labels made them a "standard size" within 10 days. Kudos to OL!
