Is there a way to keep label stock from curling? I am not sure if it is a humidity issue or a shelf life issue.
Thanks

Curling is typically an environmental issue. Curling on our label materials occurs because the liner (backing) and face stock (label material) lose and gain moisture at different rates. Our label stocks consist of a silicone based liner material held against a face stock material (usually a paper or poly) with adhesive sandwiched in between, so when either one (liner or face stock) expands or shrinks faster than the other the label sheet will curl. This typically happens when the environment the labels are stored in changes quickly (e.g. moving them from a cold & damp warehouse to a warm & dry office). Curl also can happen when putting the sheets through a laser printer and they are quickly exposed to temperatures of up to several hundred degrees.
Storing your labels in a stable environment is the simplest way to prevent them from curling and it should increase their usable life span. Is there a specific product of ours that is curling? Can you provide any details on your environment or how you are storing the labels?
Thanks.
