I'd like to order some 8.5" x 11" label sheets along with a custom die to produce two labels on each sheet. One label will be rectangular in shape. The other label will be "L" shape.

Does the Online software allow me to setup an "L" shaped label so I can print along each of the two "legs" of the "L" shape label in the orientation I want?

Also, does Online set up the software with a template for each of the two label shapes that reflect how they appear on each 8.5" x 11" sheet of label stock?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve,
Yes, we would be able to create this product. It would be a special order item so our custom size pricing would apply and there would be a one-time set up fee which would apply to the first order for the item. There would also be a 100 sheet minimum and our custom product return policy would apply.

I recommend that you reach out to us by phone at 1-888-575-2235 or submit a support ticket at the link below with the specific details of your requirements.

https://secure.onlinelabels.com/Support/SupportRequest.aspx

Once we understand your requirements, our team will create die lines for you to approve. Once the order is placed, the item will be associated with your Maestro Label Designer and you will be able to select this item as a template in the software and use Maestro Label Designer to design and print out the labels.

Let us know if you have any additional questions. Thanks.

Thanks Dave, very helpful info. Once the order is placed, will the custom template be available for use for an open ended period of time?

Regards,

Steve

One other question: one of the labels is "L" shaped. On one leg of the "L", the type will run in the same direction as the "L". On the other leg of the "L", the type will run across the short width of the "L". Does the software allow us to orient the type accordingly?

Regards,

Steve

Steve,
The template will be permanently associated with your Maestro Label Designer account. If in the future, if you want to set up another account or have another user, our customer service team can easily apply the custom template in Maestro Label Designer to additional accounts if you reach out to them.

When you purchase labels from us, you receive an activation code for Maestro Label Designer. The activation code has a time period associated with it based on the value of the order. I would think that you would get a 12 month activation code, but that will depend on the value of your order. You can see details below.

https://www.onlinelabels.com/general/maestro-label-design-software-pricing.aspx

Every time you order labels, you receive a new activation code. If you happen to run out of time, your designs and the template will still be saved on your account. The only difference between the activated and non-activated version of Maestro Label Designer is some watermark text prints at the top of generated PDF file when you attempt to print if your account is not activated. You can always purchase additional time, purchase more labels, or you can reach out to our customer service team and they will normally extend the time for you as a courtesy.

I hope this information is helpful.

Steve,
Maestro Label Designer allows you to add text and rotate it in any direction. When this custom template (after you order it) is added to Maestro Label Designer it will be added as a full page layout with just dark lines to show you where the labels are located. You will have to add the text, drag it to the appropriate location on the design, and then use the rotate tool to rotate the text into appropriate direction. I would think it should work fine for your purposes.

I recommend that you open up a full sheet template in Maestro Label Designer and try it so you can get a hang of how to move text around. You can select a full sheet template like product code OL175WX to play with it.

You can launch Maestro Label Designer at the link below:

Dave, is it possible to save multiple versions of a custom template with text in place so you can print more copies at future dates?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve,
Yes - it is possible. You can save an unlimited number of designs within Maestro Label Designer.

You also have the option to generate a PDF file for each design and save the PDF file for each design to your computer so you don't have to access Maestro Label Designer to print once you have initially created the designs. You would only need to use Maestro Label Designer to edit the files if you need to make changes.
