There are a few things to consider when choosing a label material for highly fragrant candles that have caused label discoloration in the past.
Typically, laser label materials will be a better option than inkjet label materials. This is due to the topcoat used on inkjet label materials that allows ink to be properly absorbed. This topcoat is highly absorbent and can sometimes result in slight discoloration with specific, highly fragrant candles.
Paper-based label materials will likely be more susceptible to fragrance related discoloration when compared directly to film-based materials. This comes down to absorbency again - paper is naturally absorbent, where plastics are not.
Based on these guidelines, your best bet is likely one of our weatherproof materials for laser printing:
Weatherproof Polyester LaserWeatherproof Silver PolyesterClear Gloss LaserClear Matte Laser All of these materials are durable, film-based label materials designed for use in laser printers. They should work very well for your specific application.
