Though this is an older post this issue is still ongoing and kind of wild. TONS of people I know rely on this paper for their livelihood and the sudden and abrupt changes is becoming a huge issue. I was informed that this is just how it is nothing I can do about it and then had to pay to send it back to get a refund. I dont know how a company can have such extreme product changes without warning and they aren't even comparable.

Hannah, I apologize for the frustration. While our clear laser materials had worked well in the past for foiling, the product is manufactured for laser printing. Previously, foiling was tested and found to be successful as a secondary use of the material. While recent changes to the raw material still provided great results with standard laser printing, it was not as successful with foiling. With that in mind, we updated any articles related to foiling to relay this outcome. We understand this is frustrating and are happy to work with you. Our Enterprise division offers a variety of labeling solutions and can provide custom printed labels with metallic embossing. You can find more details about these options below or reach our Customer Support Team here. https://www.onlinelabels.com/enterprise

I am also having the same issue. I use this paper for my business and unfortunately I have no sticker paper now due to this issue? Has anyone found a comparable replacement?

Just running into this problem now. My last batch of papers worked just fine, no issues. I was down to the last handful so I submitted a reorder and just opened up that box. Wasted 6 papers trying to foil before I realized the issue is the new paper, not anything I’m doing. Foil is sticking to the entire paper when it’s only supposed to stick to the toner. Reached out to see if I have received a bad batch and am told there’s nothing wrong with it this is just how it is now. Pretty frustrated that they quietly rolled this out when so many of us depend on this product for income, and the only response I get is that they updated the article where they previously had said it was fine. Now I’ll probably have to pay to return it when I already spent over $150 just for this one package that I cannot use now. I have to spend time and money to research a new product and company. So disappointed because I have ordered multiple times from this company over the years without any issues before. I’m stuck product less and will have to close my shop while I vet a new material.

We truly apologize for the frustration this situation has caused your businesses. We understand how important reliable materials are for your operations. While our clear laser materials have performed well for foiling in the past, they are primarily designed for laser printing. In earlier tests, foiling showed promise as a secondary use, but recent changes to the raw material have impacted its effectiveness. Although it continues to deliver great results with standard laser printing, we recognize it hasn’t met expectations for foiling. We want you to know that we are committed to transparency and have updated all related articles to reflect this outcome. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate these changes together. I've addressed the issue with our Product Development Team to see if we can find a material specifically designed for foiling machines in the future. In the meantime, we offer a variety of premium options through our Enterprise division, which includes metallic embossing. You can find more details about these options here.

I'm having the same issue and just found this post. This is unfortunate for us that rely on online labels for our foiling business. I hope you can offer something that works for us, thank you.

I completely understand how frustrating and inconvenient this situation is for you. While we don’t currently have a material that works well for foiling, I want you to know that I will share your request with our Product Development Team for future consideration. Your input is valuable to us, and we're here to help!
