Hello,

I hope this question / post is acceptable for this forum.

We have a need to produce vinyl labels for our products. We have been getting this commercially printed vinyl rolls.
They have come our perfect and just what we need. However, we don't need thousands at a time and have <50 products, maybe each requiring two labels.
The last order we placed was for 80mm dia. labels, which were around £0.38 per label

This is all well and good but a few time we have decide to change the label design or for one reason or another.
Some of our new product will require labels (2 off) around 125mm x 150mm.

This is now becoming to get expensive and unless we order them in the thousands (Which we don't need) the cost per label of fairly high.

Anyway, I received some samples of labels printed on a Epson Colorworks C4000 and C6500 using pigment inks printed on matte vinyl rolls.

What I trying to find out is, if I purchased a Canon Maxify printer (maybe the GX6150 for example), which uses ALL pigment inks for the black and 3 colours, and then purchase sheet labels (Vinyl matte), can I expect the quality to be something close to what we need. As in the finish, and durability.
Its for product labels going on tins and plastic bottles.

If this is the case which labels (From Online Labels of course) would be bets suited.

Any ideas / suggestions etc would be very helpful.

Thanks
Paul

Thank you for reaching out! Both our Weatherproof Matte Inkjet (WJ) sheets and Weatherproof White Matte (JW) rolls are comparable materials, offering the same quality. These have been confirmed to work well with both pigment and dye inks. However, we haven't tested our sheets with Canon's Maxify printer series to confirm the output would be the same as the Epson Colorworks C4000 and C6500 you've already tested.

I'd be happy to send you some sample sheets if you'd like to test them out. You can also request those here: www.onlinelabels.com/samples.
