Hi. I am using Canon pixma pro-10 to print stickers on glossy lable. However, ink could not get dry, caused sticky surface and smear, even after days. This problem get worse in printing background with solid colours. Is there anything I can do in the setting of printer? Or i should not use glossy paper with this printer? Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for your inquiry. Based on your description of the problem it sounds as if the printer may be over-saturating the topcoat of the label sheets. I was able to locate the manual for your printer model and there are a couple of things you can try that may improve your printing results.

If you haven't already, please try adjusting the media type within the printer settings to a glossy photo paper type. This should provide the best printing results on a white gloss label material.

If you're printing using the best/highest quality setting please try changing the quality setting to normal. This could potentially reduce the amount of ink being placed on to the page and result in shorter drying times and print that is more durable to smearing.

It appears that your printer model also has an Intensity setting. Reducing the Intensity setting should have similar results as reducing the quality setting - outputting ink less densely in an effort to reduce over-saturation.

I hope this helps. If you need any additional information please just let us know.
