Hi,

When I purchased the weatherproof gloss I was under the impression (hence the word "weatherproof") that it was UV and water resistant. It's water resistant, but I've looked through some different forums and people have said it's not UV resistant. I have a regular inkjet printer; unfortunately getting a printer that uses pigment inks is not an affordable option at this time. Is there a UV resistant coating I can spray over the stickers that 1#. won't smudge the ink, and 2#. keeps the sheen on the sticker?

I'm sorry for the confusion. The label material itself is durable to moisture and extreme temperatures, but without additional protection or UV-resistant ink the print will potentially be susceptible to fading when exposed to sunlight for prolonged periods of time. Krylon offers a UV-Resistant Clear spray that will provide UV resistance to your printed labels. The spray is available in both a gloss and a matte finish, so just be sure to look for the gloss version before making a purchase.

You can typically find the Krylon UV-Resistant sprays at craft stores such as Michael's or Hobby Lobby, but you may be able to get them from other online retailers as well. I hope this helps. Please just let us know if you need any additional information.
