Hello, David! I'll be happy to assist as best I can. We do test our label materials on a variety of printers to see how well they perform and to also provide recommended settings to our customers. While we haven't had the opportunity to test every specific printer model in-house, we have found that many of the popular models from Hewlett-Packard, Epson, and Canon brand printers work well with our materials. We've also received customer feedback supporting this as well.
We do advise that when shopping for a printer you'll want to review the printer model's specifications to ensure it is able to handle specialty label materials. You may also want to consider the printer's printable area since many printers have at least one non-printable margin which will prevent it from being able to print to the edge of the sheet, or the edge of the label if the margins are narrow.

It sounds like you're experiencing toner fusion issues with your Canon printer. This can occur with any label stock and printer model if using the default paper type settings. This is generally because the default or unspecified paper type options in a printer are ideal for regular printer/copy paper. When using a material that's thicker than paper or has a coating, you'll want to check out the printer's paper type options under Properties or Preferences in the print dialog box. This will provide you with a list of alternative paper types more suitable for specialty materials. In most cases, you'll find labels, cardstock, and transparency options which work well with our laser-compatible materials.
