Hi,

I'm curious if anyone has any experience or tips on printing a low opacity on the foil paper to achieve a sort of "colored foil" effect? I'm trying to use the silver foil void labels to create a gold/black (gold being the "metallic" part) and am having some troubles figuring out how to get the toner to essentially "color" the foil in the desired areas.

Thanks!

Navi, thanks for your post! I reached out to our Product Testing Team for some suggestions. While we haven't tested foiling our Void Silver Polyester (VS), our team has come up with a few options you can try:

  • Lower the opacity in your design program
  • Adjust toner density in your printer settings
  • Try using pastel colors. Since the pastels are color + white, only a small amount of toner is used
I hope this helps. Please share your results and let me know if I can assist with anything else.
