We've been using basic Epson printers for years - the EcoTank types. We run four of them... two are two years old and two are brand new. Right now, they are all model 2803's but we've had other Epsons in the past.
For some reason, all of them now have the same issue in which the sheet tray in the back of the printer will pull in 2 to 6 sheets of 8.5" x 11" blank labels at a time. We've tried fanning out the labels and making sure they are not curled and do not have any folds. Nothing seems to work.
Never had this problem in the past. Now we have to load single sheets at a time and spend the entire day babysitting the printers to reload each subsequent sheet. We've also tried different paper settings in the printer software but to not avail.
Any ideas how to get around this?

I'm sorry to hear you're having feeding issues with multiple printers. I noticed you ordered several of our label materials. Are you experiencing this with all items or only specific types of label stock? Below are some common recommendations to help with jamming and feeding issues. - Paper Size/Tray: Try using a manual/bypass tray and ensure it is set for 8.5" x 11" paper and that guides are properly adjusted to avoid skewing.
- Paper Type/Size: Make sure the paper/media is set to 8.5" x 11" and is adjusted to Photo Glossy, Labels, Presentation, or a heavy/thicker paper option, as the labels are thicker and may stick together.
- Cleaning: Clean the printer rollers with a damp cloth and isopropyl alcohol to improve traction.
- Load Fewer Sheets: Try loading a smaller number of sheets, as too many can cause issues with thicker paper.
If the problem persists across multiple printers, consider contacting Epson support for further assistance. I hope one of these solutions helps! Let me know how it goes.
