To give some brief information, I'm using the standard matt white sticker paper (EU30165WX) and printing with a new Epson ET-8550 inkjet printer.

I'm new to printing, so pleaase forgive me if I don't explain things well.

I've gone through over 100 sheets(!) at this point (and also replaced the printer as well, due to an issue with one of the inks in the previous one) - but I'm still plagued by these noticable specks.

In person, it looks like it's either not been inked in or almost a kind of glaze effect - if I tilt the paper about as I'm inspecting it, I see these flecks even more, and in more areas. Almost reminds me of putting down a thin layer of white pencil or wax - but in spots - before colouring in something. I can't make out any consistent patterns with this.

I've already done printhead cleaning and alignments (with the use of a loupe to be sure), turned off bidirectional printing, tried different print settings and dusted off the inside of the printer to the best of my ability (though there was basically nothing there).

I don't know what else to do except try printing on different media, but I really want to get this paper and printer combo to work. Did I just get a bad batch, or am I doing something wrong or missed something?

The EU30165WX is a great choice for standard matt paper, but in some cases, certain types of print media can cause inconsistent ink distribution, particularly with uncoated materials.

In many cases, switching the paper type setting to Photo or Glossy can improve ink flow on certain papers. Even with uncoated matt paper, this adjustment can improve the overall output.

To assist you further, could you please confirm the lot/marking number on the packaging of your sticker paper? This information will enable us to investigate the specific batch and determine if there have been any reported issues with that particular lot.

I did already try different paper type settings (that's where my image came from, as I was comparing the colours and quality with the different settings with swatches). Unfortunately, the problem showed in all my tests.

This is the same across all the boxes I purchased (500 sheets total).

I will also try reaching out the UK support team in the meantime.
