we are using a Cannon 3525i and printing on OL177WX Standard White Matte (Laser and Inkjet) I noticed printing issues on many of my prints. I am printing full color photos as labels for the back of wallpaper samples. if there is an area with high coverage, the toner is often flaking off. I adjusted my print settings to "label" and have the printer do a cleaning cycle every 10 pages or so. this usually helps the print look nicer at first. but I have noticed as I start to pack orders, that the toner rubbed off just storing them for a few weeks. They are in hanging file folders so don't have much weight on them at all so its not like heavy use has made the toner come off. I have already printed 1000 labels and i would say half are unusable which is a big cost for our small business. please help.

Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing trouble with toner flaking on your labels. Here are a few quick steps that often improve toner adhesion on OL177WX material: - Use a heavier media setting - Try Heavy, Heavy 1, or Heavy 2 instead of Label for higher fusing heat and slower print speed.
- Print from the bypass tray - This can improve toner bonding on thicker or coated stocks.
- Check the fuser - If prints look good after cleaning but flake later, the fuser may not be fully bonding toner and might need maintenance or replacement.
- Lower toner density slightly - A small reduction in saturation or density can improve adhesion without noticeable quality loss.
Once we identify the best fix, we’ll be happy to provide replacements for any labels that were rendered unusable. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and are committed to making it right.
