If you plan to handwrite onto your labels, a permanent-style marker (such as a Sharpie) should work on all the materials we offer. We do recommend giving the ink ample time to dry before applying your labels.

Other writing instruments, such as a ball point or felt-tip pen should only be used on our paper-based materials. These materials include our white matte, true colors, pastels, fluorescents or brown kraft.

If you plan to put a handwritten message onto your labels, we first recommend placing a request for samples. This will allow you the chance to see if your marker or pen will stay on the material you are interested in.

You can request samples by clicking here.
