I have always used Canon Pixma IP (4900 & 6220) printers for my labels with the Online Labels default page set of Left Margin .18 and Top Margin .5. I just purchased a new Canon Maxify MB5320 and all my labels are coming out misaligned. If I reset the Online Labels Top Margin to .580, they print fine. I have over 250 varieties of labels. Does this mean I am going to have to go back into Maestro and reset the Top Margin for every label before I re-save them...or is there an easier way?

Maestro Label Designer would require that you go into each design/file and re-save with the appropriate page set up changes.
There may be a way that I can have our technical team do a batch change on our end. Before I look into that, I would want you to confirm that you are absolutely confident of what you want as your settings as it would be difficult to revert back in the event that there was an issue.
Let me know if you want me to further investigate whether this is an option.
Thanks.

Hi Dave,
Yes, please investigate if this is an option. In the meantime, I want to test some random labels to see if this is the problem across the board...which I think it is, but only with the glossy labels. The matte labels seem to be printing fine. I also want to contact Canon to see why this is happening with this particular printer. I will post back here.
Thanks, again. Jim

I spoke to our development team this morning and they let me know that this isn't something that we can easily do on our end. We talked about making it a feature available in the future, but it is not something we are able to easily do at this time. We are constantly making improvements and modifications to our software so we will definitely look into adding a way to batch change settings on Maestro Label Designer files.
Keep me updated and let me know if you need any additional help. I can try to make some recommendations.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for getting back to me. I just got off the phone with Canon. It seems newer Canon Models (including the Maxify series) have a narrower border than the older Pixma printers. In other words they can print just a bit wider and a bit higher/lower on a page than these older models. This is what is throwing my labels off; the printer is beginning the print about 1/8 of an inch higher then it did on my old printers and thus the need to change from the .5 to .58 top border.
Sorry to hear Online Labels can't make a batch change, and Canon told me there is no way to compensate for this on the printer, so I have to change the top border of each label separately. Guess what I am going to be doing today? LOL
The sooner your team can implement batch changes, the less headaches it will cause your customers when they buy one of these newer printers. In the mean time, there is still no body better than Online Labels.
Thanks for your time.

Jim, Thanks for the information. I will definitely pass all your feedback on to our development team. Hopefully, this is something we can add in the near future.
