Most printers and copiers are designed to handle standard copier/printer paper in their regular paper trays. However, for specialty materials like Weatherproof Polyester Laser (LP), it's best to print in smaller batches using a bypass or manual feed tray.
Our Print Team uses Xerox Versant models, which are large digital presses. Even these presses require manually feeding small batches of film-based materials. This is primarily due to the static that can build up on film materials when exposed to the high heat generated by laser printing. On the other hand, paper-based stock such as white matte and white gloss options can be printed at a higher volume from the paper trays.
