For your information: Dymo printers use direct thermal technology and direct thermal materials. There are some disadvantages to direct thermal materials and direct thermal printing for products that require long term outdoor exposure. Direct thermal materials will fade or “yellow” over extended periods of time. Also, the label can darken when exposed to extreme heat and direct sunlight. Depending on your required volume and the length of time you need the labels to last, you may want to consider changing to a thermal transfer material and printer. Thermal transfer printers use ribbons and thermal transfer printing will be more stable for longer term outdoor applications.
