I have a Canon: Color Image Class laser printer and I use Online Label's Weatherproof Polyester for Laser labels. I'm currently using the color glossy setting and paper source of Heavy 2(121-163 g/m2)
I print labels for my soap business, many different types of products from liquid soap to lip balm. They print beautifully and are waterproof but after much use the ink starts to rub Is there any setting that will provide a label where the ink doesn't rub off or is there another printer that you would recommend?
Thank you, Robin

I’m sorry to hear that the toner is smudging on the Weatherproof Polyester Laser labels when using your Canon printer. If the toner is not properly fusing on the Heavy 2 setting, try switching to Heavy 3 or another heavier GSM setting. This may provide additional heat to help the toner fuse more effectively for greater durability. For print quality, I recommend using the Standard setting; only switch to High Quality if the print appears light or faded.
Regarding printer recommendations, we haven’t tested every specific model in-house, but we have found that many popular Canon and Hewlett-Packard laser printers work well with our materials, and customer feedback supports this. When choosing a printer, it's important to check the specifications to ensure it can handle specialty label materials like our film-based Weatherproof Polyester Laser (LP). Additionally, consider the printer’s printable area, as many models have at least one non-printable margin that may prevent printing all the way to the edge of the sheet or label if the margins are narrow.
